Formål og visioner
Dunia ya Watoto means Children's World in Swahili, and it is an NGO for local children in Mwanza, Tanzania, where they can come after school and do various activities. Dunia ya Watoto aims to promote curiosity, creativity and active learning by creating a community where we grow together. Dunia ya Watoto is an association that is primarily based on volunteering, and always put the children at the center.
The vision

To be a platform that creates opportunities for children by giving the children a place and facilities to do activities in creativity, sports, play, etc…

Why have we started Dunia ya Watoto?
We hope to give some tools to children that they can use in their future, but there will also be a focus on creating good moments in the present. We will focus on practicing music, creativity, art, sports, language and more. Limited only by imagination. By learning through active methods, we will encourage the children to be independent and able to cooperate with others.
All children who come to Dunia ya Watoto should feel welcome and feel safe, and it is important to say that it is the children's place, while of course there are some frameworks for organizing and fulfilling the association's visions.
